Although we have come a long way in a very short time, there is still much work to be done.  Here are a few of our plans for the future.  Your help is so greatly appreciated!

10 passenger 4 wheel drive van -
accomplished 2010!
THREE CLASSROOMS, DORMITORY FOR TEACHERS
    Additional classrooms and teachers to help us educate the children who are not yet among our 300 students.
 - Cost of this project is $150,000
    A guest house for volunteer teachers.  As a rural village, in order to attract good teachers we must provide housing.
- Cost of this project $12,000.00
WATER FOR THE VILLAGE
The Maasai women walk miles daily to provide their families' water needs.  We hope to be able to bring two wells into the village for cooking, hygiene and agricultural needs.
 While we have spent $14,000.00 to drill a well close to the school we still need:
Purification of the water;
Irrigation so we can grow crops for the benefit of the children and community;
Proper hygiene education;
Purified fresh drinking water for the entire village at a better price than the government is charging.
Estimated cost of above project  $15,000.00
    Wells, showers and clothes washing stations
Estimated cost is $3,000.00.
IMPROVED HEALTH CARE
AIDS, malaria, and infectious diseases are a challenge. We need improved hygiene, medicines, and visiting professionals to help us solve these problems.
EMPOWERMENT FOR THE MAASAI WOMEN

The women of the village have come to us asking to learn to read and write and to develop ways they might gain a little independence.
Vocational training for the women of the village. They have many talents, but need to learn how to market them.
Paid qualified teachers ($100.00/month).
Micro Financing funding
$100-$150 can set a woman up in business with the ability to pay back that loan so that another woman to benefit, too.
Chicken coop and chickens - $500
Building of a "Maasai Market" building where the women can sell their products (crafts and vegetables) to the public and those visiting the school.
EXPANSION OF OUR COMMUNITY GARDEN
We want to teach the community to grow, harvest and sell their own fruits and vegetables as a way to improve their nutrition.
