Dear Friends:

     Thank you for your interest in the O'Brien School for the Maasai and for the opportunity to tell you a little bit about our family.

     I live in Hinsdale, IL USA with my husband, Barry. For the past twenty-five years I have been a professional garden designer owning my own business 'English Gardens, Ltd.'.  My love for creating beautiful spaces in nature is a God-given gift nurtured by my mother at our family farm.

     Barry and I are blessed with four grown children and eight grandchildren.  Our oldest son Jeffrey lives with his wife Nancey and their four children in Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter Jennifer and her husband Reed Brunzell have three daughters and live in Glenview, IL; daughter Heather lives with her husband David Bacon and their new baby in Denver, CO; son Matthew and wife Jennea live in Dallas, TX.

     Our entire family is involved in trying to make a difference in the lives of the people of this small village in Tanzania. Heather, Dave, Matthew and Jennea have all been to Sanya Station to help with our many projects. We are surrounded by friends who have also contributed their time, resources, and energy.
